Eyebrow Transplant Cost in Turkey 2026: Prices & Packages

What an eyebrow transplant really costs in 2026 — by country, graft count and technique

An eyebrow transplant costs $1,000 to $3,000 in Turkey, compared with $3,000 to $8,000 in the United States and up to $15,000 in major US cities. Price depends on the number of grafts required — usually 300 to 800 in total — and the technique used, with DHI and Sapphire FUE priced above standard FUE.

That is the short answer. The longer answer explains why quotes for the same procedure vary by a factor of ten, what a package actually includes, and the question most cost pages avoid entirely: what happens if you regret it.

How Much Does an Eyebrow Transplant Cost?

Published prices for 2026 cluster like this:

  • United States: $3,000–$8,000 typical, rising to $12,000–$15,000 for specialist practices in New York or Los Angeles
  • United Kingdom: £3,000–£5,000 (roughly $3,800–$6,300)
  • Gulf (UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia): $4,000–$7,000
  • Mexico: $1,800–$3,500
  • Turkey: $1,000–$3,000, usually as an all-inclusive package

An eyebrow transplant is a small procedure by graft count but a demanding one by technique, which is why price tracks surgical time and skill far more than it tracks the number of hairs moved.

Eyebrow Transplant Cost by Country

Country Typical cost (USD) Usually includes Notes
Turkey $1,000–$3,000 Surgery, hotel, transfers, interpreter, aftercare kit All-inclusive packages standard
Mexico $1,800–$3,500 Surgery only, typically Popular with US patients
Thailand $2,000–$4,000 Surgery, sometimes hotel
United States $3,000–$8,000 Surgery and follow-up $12,000–$15,000 in NYC/LA
United Kingdom $3,800–$6,300 Surgery and follow-up
UAE / Qatar $4,000–$7,000 Surgery and follow-up

The gap is not a quality gap. It is a cost-base gap: surgeon salaries, facility overheads, insurance and staffing costs in Istanbul are a fraction of those in New York or London, while the surgical technique and the implanter pens are identical. Turkey also performs an enormous volume of hair restoration, and that volume produces both price competition and genuine technical specialisation.

What Determines the Price

Number of Grafts

Eyebrow work uses far fewer grafts than scalp work, but each one takes longer to place. Typical requirements:

Goal Grafts per brow Total grafts
Filling small gaps or scars 150–250 300–500
Moderate thinning / over-plucked brows 250–400 500–800
Full reconstruction (little or no existing brow) 350–450 700–900

Many clinics price eyebrow transplants as a flat package rather than per graft, precisely because graft count is a poor proxy for the work involved. Be cautious with any clinic quoting a cheap per-graft rate for brows — it suggests they are treating the procedure like scalp work, which is exactly the mindset that produces unnatural results.

Technique: FUE vs Sapphire FUE vs DHI

Technique How it differs Relative cost
FUE Follicles extracted individually; channels opened, then grafts placed Baseline
Sapphire FUE Sapphire blades open finer, more precise channels +10–25%
DHI Choi implanter pen places the graft directly, controlling angle and depth in one step +20–40%

For eyebrows specifically, DHI is often worth the premium. Eyebrow hairs grow at an extremely shallow angle — almost flat against the skin — and in different directions across the brow. The implanter pen gives the surgeon finer control over that angle and direction, which is the single biggest determinant of whether the result reads as a real eyebrow or as hair growing out of your forehead.

DHI gives finer control of hair angle — the biggest factor in a natural brow.

Surgeon and Clinic

The largest cost variable is who holds the pen. An eyebrow transplant is closer to design work than to volume restoration: 700 grafts placed at the wrong angle look worse than no procedure at all, and the failure is visible on your face from two metres away.

Ask who performs the extraction and placement — in some high-volume clinics the surgeon designs the brow and technicians do the rest. That is not automatically bad, but you should know, and you should see the surgeon's own eyebrow cases rather than the clinic's general gallery. Livist Medical works only with board-certified surgeons who perform eyebrow cases personally; you can review our surgeons and their credentials before booking.

What's Included in a Turkey Eyebrow Transplant Package

This is where the headline number becomes meaningful. A typical Turkish package includes:

Usually included Usually not included
Surgeon consultation and brow design International flights
The procedure and local anaesthesia Extra hotel nights beyond the package
2–3 nights hotel accommodation Travel insurance
Airport and clinic transfers Revision or touch-up procedures
Interpreter / patient coordinator PRP sessions, if added
Aftercare kit (lotion, shampoo, medication) Companion's costs
Post-op follow-up, usually remote

Two questions separate a real quote from a marketing number: is a touch-up included, and under what conditions? and is the price fixed, or does it change once the surgeon counts the grafts on the day? Get both answers in writing before you travel. A quote that rises on arrival is the most common complaint in medical tourism, and it is entirely avoidable.

Eyebrow Transplant vs Microblading: Cost Over 10 Years

Microblading looks cheaper. Over a decade, it usually is not.

Microblading Eyebrow transplant (Turkey)
Upfront cost $300–$800 $1,000–$3,000
Longevity 1–2 years Permanent
Touch-ups needed in 10 years 5–10 0–1
Approximate 10-year cost $1,500–$8,000 $1,000–$3,000
Result Pigment in the skin; fades, can shift colour Your own growing hair
Maintenance Repeat appointments Trimming every 2–4 weeks
Reversible Yes, it fades Largely no

The honest summary: microblading is cheaper to try and easier to undo. A transplant is cheaper to own and looks like hair because it is hair. If you are unsure whether you want permanent brows, microblading first is a reasonable way to test a shape — and prior tattooing does not rule out a transplant later, though it can add design complexity.

Is It Worth It? Regret, Risks and Realistic Results

Almost no cost page discusses regret. It should, because "eyebrow transplant regret" is one of the most searched phrases attached to this procedure, and patients deserve to see it before they pay.

The common regrets are specific and worth naming:

  • Too dense. The most frequent complaint. Brows that looked right on the design can look heavy and drawn-on once fully grown. Under-filling is easy to fix with a second small session; over-filling means laser or electrolysis removal.
  • Wrong angle or direction. The hallmark of inexperienced work. Hairs that stick out rather than lying flat cannot be re-angled — they must be removed and replaced.
  • Wrong shape for an ageing face. A brow designed to a current trend can date badly. Conservative, anatomical design ages better than fashionable design.
  • Underestimating maintenance. Transplanted hairs are scalp hairs, and they keep growing like scalp hairs. Trimming every two to four weeks is permanent homework. Some patients find this genuinely annoying.

Realistic expectations also matter. Transplanted hairs shed within the first few weeks — this is normal and alarms almost everyone. New growth begins at three to four months, noticeable density arrives at six to nine months, and the final result settles at about twelve months. Typical graft survival is 80–95%, so a touch-up is common rather than a sign of failure. Texture differs slightly from native brow hair because it is scalp hair, and it will never behave exactly like the hair it replaces.

Not everyone is a candidate. Active autoimmune conditions affecting the skin, uncontrolled diabetes, active infection, scarring disorders, and untreated trichotillomania all affect graft survival or make the procedure inadvisable until the underlying condition is managed. A clinic that does not ask about these is not screening you properly.

Why Turkey Costs Less (Without Cutting Corners)

The reasonable suspicion about a $1,500 procedure that costs $8,000 elsewhere is that something has been removed. Usually what has been removed is overhead:

  • Cost base. Salaries, rent, facility costs and malpractice insurance in Istanbul run far below US and UK equivalents.
  • Exchange rates. Costs are largely in lira while patients pay in dollars, euros or pounds.
  • Volume and specialisation. Turkey performs more hair restoration than anywhere else. High volume lowers per-case cost and builds genuine expertise.
  • Government support. Health tourism is an explicit Turkish export sector with accreditation infrastructure behind it.

What should not be different: JCI-accredited or Ministry-of-Health-licensed facilities, board-certified surgeons, sterile single-use instruments, and written aftercare. If a quote is far below even the Turkish range, ask what has been cut — it is usually surgeon involvement.
