The American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) averages cover the surgeon's fee only; they exclude anesthesia, the operating room and other related costs. Turkish prices are usually quoted as a package, so compare the full total, not the headline number. A procedure booked on its own carries its own hospital stay and package costs, which is why a combined mommy makeover costs less than adding the single prices together.

In an ASPS-published study of about 25,000 tummy tuck patients, major complications occurred in about 4% of abdominoplasties compared with 1.4% in other cosmetic operations, and the rate rose to about 10.4% when a tummy tuck was combined with other body-contouring procedures and liposuction.
That is why a careful surgeon may split a large plan into two stages. Before booking in any country, confirm the surgeon's board certification, ask where the surgery will take place and whether you will stay overnight in hospital, and ask how blood clots are prevented, especially if you will fly home.
ASPS notes that most women take about two weeks off work, avoid lifting anything heavy, including children, for the first two weeks, return to normal activities around three months, and see the final result after six months to a year. When you travel, plan about 7–10 days at your destination so your surgeon can check your wounds and drains and clear you to fly.
