Mini mommy makeover: a mini tummy tuck, targeted liposuction and a small breast procedure. Cost, mini vs full, recovery and who it suits.
A mini mommy makeover is a smaller, targeted version of a mommy makeover: a mini tummy tuck below the belly button, liposuction of one or two areas, and a limited breast procedure such as a small lift or augmentation. It suits mild post-pregnancy changes, takes about 2 to 3 hours and allows light activity after 1 to 2 weeks — but it cannot fix significant muscle separation above the navel.

Mini mommy makeover — the short answer

A mini mommy makeover is a less invasive, targeted version of a traditional mommy makeover. Instead of a full tummy tuck with muscle repair from the ribs to the pubic bone, it treats only the lower abdomen, adds liposuction where fat is stubborn, and makes a modest change to the breasts. The trade-off is simple: a shorter operation, shorter recovery and smaller scars, in exchange for a subtler result.
A mini tummy tuck removes a small pouch of skin below the belly button through a shorter, lower incision. The navel is not repositioned, and there is no major muscle repair above it. Livist Medical's standalone mini tummy tuck package is €2,230.
Liposuction treats one or two stubborn pockets — typically the flanks or the lower belly. Treating the whole waistline turns the plan into a larger operation; see lipo 360 cost for that option.
The breast part is kept small: a subtle augmentation with implants, or a limited lift around the areola for mild drooping. A full breast lift with a vertical scar belongs to a full mommy makeover. Many women choose a mommy makeover without implants, using a small lift alone when volume is still adequate.

The difference between a mini and a full mommy makeover is mainly how much of the abdomen is treated, which drives operating time, recovery and scarring.
| Mommy makeover feature | Mini mommy makeover | Full mommy makeover |
|---|---|---|
| Abdomen | Mini tummy tuck below the navel | Full tummy tuck with muscle repair |
| Belly button | Not repositioned | Repositioned |
| Liposuction | One or two areas | Several areas, often 360° |
| Breasts | Small lift or augmentation | Lift, augmentation or both |
| Operating time | About 2–3 hours | About 3–6 hours |
| Light activity | About 1–2 weeks | About 2–4 weeks |
Times follow Google's answers for "mini mommy makeover" and "how long does a mommy makeover take" (checked 3–4 October 2026). In 25,478 tummy tuck patients, adding procedures raised the major complication rate from 3.1% for a tummy tuck alone to 3.8% with liposuction and 4.3% with a breast procedure (Winocour et al., Plast Reconstr Surg 2015) — one reason a smaller plan can make sense when it is enough.

A mini mommy makeover typically costs $15,000 to $22,000 in the US, and from about $9,000 to $12,000 in lower-cost US markets. In Turkey, packages are all-inclusive and considerably lower.
| Mini mommy makeover cost item | Price |
|---|---|
| Mini mommy makeover, US | $15,000 – $22,000 |
| Mini tummy tuck alone, US | $4,000 – $10,000 |
| Livist: mini tummy tuck + 360° liposuction + breast lift | €6,490 (≈ $7,285) |

Recovery from a mini mommy makeover is shorter than from a full one: most patients return to light activity after about 1 to 2 weeks. Pain after a mini tummy tuck is usually described as mild to moderate — a pulling tightness and soreness like an intense core workout, peaking in the first 3 to 5 days. You will still wear a compression garment, avoid heavy lifting for several weeks and follow your surgeon's schedule. For the full timeline of a larger plan, see mommy makeover recovery time.
You may be a good candidate for a mini mommy makeover if:
A mini approach is not enough when muscle separation (diastasis recti) or loose skin extends above the navel — a full tummy tuck is needed then. The ASPS candidate criteria apply to both versions: "You are in good medical health", "You are at your ideal body weight" and "You are finished with childbearing."
A tummy tuck treats only the abdomen; a mommy makeover combines a tummy tuck with other procedures — most commonly breast surgery and liposuction — to treat several areas at once. If only your stomach bothers you, a standalone tummy tuck may be enough. If your breasts and waist have changed too, a mini or full mommy makeover groups them into one operation and one recovery.
Mini mommy makeover results are long-lasting as long as your weight stays stable and you do not become pregnant again. The skin removed does not come back, but ageing continues and implants are not lifetime devices. Because the change is subtler, compare before and after results with a body type like yours, and remember that results vary from person to person and are not guaranteed.
Whether a mini mommy makeover is enough can only be decided by examining your abdomen and breasts.
